Single Black Love

Single black love
They feed us the blasphemy
Love yourself
Find yourself
Nurture yourself

In reality
We are destined to share ourselves
Find our other
And nurture that love

There’s nothing comfortable about voids
It’s the emptiest path
Sprinting dark roads
Marathons anointed with battling mental health burdens
You’ll go insane in thought
Vividly dancing with the blank pages

Where’s the filler
Without light a smile is an imprisoned capture
History shows us singleness is the norm
Statistics have a hell of a presentation
While wedding season has bells jingling
In every corner but for the lonely

Spirits dedicating songs to future
No love remedy disc’s to share
Patience has no prevalence
Dating sites are the taboo
Yet no one is playing fair
Cat fishing falseness to the real you

Welcome to laying with the devil
Creating life time memories for temporary pleasures

They say switch it up
Yet the good ones certainly aren’t filling the pews
The bass of life chimes in with the thumps of its road

What’s single black love when you travel alone?
